申请的时候

那我们到底应该是选美国境内转身份

也就是说AOS I-485呢

还是说境外

领馆转身份

也就是CP Consular Processing

这个步骤

这两个转身份的

方式方法呢

其实都有不同

的优缺点

那我就分类来讲一下

像在美国境内转身份485申请

也就是AOS

它的优点是

如果在美国工作的

小伙伴

你可以不用担心

你需要出境

你可以继续

在美国工作

比较方便一些

那它的缺点呢

可能有两点

第一点

是你必须要拿到你的回美证之后

你才能出境美国

（H-1B，L-1签证除外）

不然的话

在485审理期间你是不可以出境的

那第二点

相对于美国境外转身份来比

它的花销会多一些

因为你要交不同的

申请费用

到移民局那边去

相对于来说

美国境外转身份

那它的优点就是

第一你的出行没有

任何的阻碍

那第二

你的申请费用大大减少了很多

你只需要提交一个DS-260的申请费

以及最终

你要入境美国

拿到绿卡的一个

费用的缴纳

那它的缺点

就是你没有办法在

审理期间

你必须要等他的

面试通知

你才能去面试

等大使馆

来审理你的整个申请

来看你是否可以进行下一步入境美国

它还有一个缺点

For example, with I-485 adjustment of status in the U.S.

which is AOS

Its Pros include

for those friends working

in the U.S.

you don’t need to worry

about leaving the U.S.

working in the U.S.

so it’s more convenient

However, the Cons

might include two points

First point:

You must obtain your advance parole (re-entry permit)

before you can leave the U.S.

(except for H-1B and L-1 visa holders)

Otherwise

you cannot leave the U.S. during the I-485 processing period

The second point is

compared to consular processing outside the U.S.,

the costs are higher

because you need to pay various

application fees

to the USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services)

In contrast

with consular processing outside the U.S.

Its Pros include

restricted at all
